Dear friends,

I wanted to let you know of some exciting changes in our staffing that reinforce our vision for the kind of church we believe God is calling us to be:

1)  Because we feel called to be the kind of church that blesses families of all shapes and sizes and prioritizes youth and children, our Staffing Team has decided to move Ginger Neely into the vacant position of part-time Director of Children's Ministry.  Ginger comes with a background in doing youth and children's ministry and, from the beginning of our church, has been instrumental in helping us start our children's ministries.  She will do an incredible job in moving us forward in the unique vision God has called us to fulfill as a church.

2)  In order to help us make this committment to the area of Children's Ministry, we have asked our incredible Nursery Coordinator & Office Assistant, Paige Newman, to take on a few more hours and she has accepted.  Paige will continue to oversee the nursery ministry of our church, but will be adding more time to help with the day to day workings of the church.

3)  In order to prepare ourselves for the exciting step of officially "chartering" as a church in 2011, we're currently receiving resumes in order to hire a Treasurer to help us handle inputting, budgeting and reporting for the church.  This will continue to assure the highest level of integrity and accountability when dealing with finances.  If you are interested in submitting your resume, you can send it to derihar@yahoo.com.

4)  Finally, we are beginning to look for volunteers who might be willing to come during office hours to help do simple, but important things that will raise the level of the ministry we are able to have as a church.  If you have an hour or two per week that you might be willing to give to the church office, contact ginger@thewatershedchurch.com for more info.

The bottom line is that I am excited to be "growing up" as a church!  God is continuing to keep us focused on being a church that sheds God's love to our community . . . please pray for our staff and our SPR (staffing team) that makes decisions about staff.  Pray that God would continue to show us the right things to do in order to help us more faithfully "be The Watershed" as a congregation.  See you Sunday!
