Dear friends,

A couple of random things I want to report to you . . .

1)  First of all, if you have joined The Watershed as a partner, be watching your mail this week for the covenant you signed when you joined.  If you recall, you set some goals for yourself, then put them in a self-addressed, stamped envelope and sealed them.  We're sending them back this week to ask you to open them and see how you're doing against the goals you set in the area of prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.  I hope this will be a helpful tool in your relationship with Christ as you grow in faithfulness.

2)  Our vision team has been working diligently and has come up with a proposed mission statement for the church.  Our mission: Shedding God's love to inspire Christ-centered living.  We think this captures who we are and want to be as a church in a way thta is memorable and which calls each one of us to action as we strive to be the church.  It reminds us that in every moment and in every place, we are called to be the church, shedding the love he has poured down on us.  And, it is our hope that by doing that, we will be able to inspire others to want to be in relationship with Christ.   We'll be rolling out some more of our vision pieces later in August to get feedback and affirmation from you, the congregation.

Please continue to pray for the staff and leadership as we are trying to discern so many things all at the same time - vision, master planning, capital funds campaign, staffing, finances, etc . . . There is a lot going on and we can't do it without you!  See you Sunday!
