Hey friends,

I know it's too early to talk about summer vacation being over . . . so I won’t.  But a church like ours has to think ahead, and we have started making preparations for the new faces we believe we'll see when school starts again.

We're starting to plan for a mailer and possibly another billboard so that people will have heard of us when you invite them to come.  We’re starting to think about needing to rearrange our worship area in order to accommodate more people in seats.  We’re starting a new Deeper Group (possibly two) in order to help connect people into a group that will help them go deeper in their relationship with Christ and other people here at the church.    

If you’re looking for a place to get more involved or to find your place here at The Watershed, I want to lift up a few ideas:

1)       We still need a few more parking lot greeters to join our Magnificent 7 team.  Their job is to make sure everyone who comes is welcomed in the parking lot and can find a place to park.  They get pretty hot in the summer, but they also get to use walkie-talkies.  (I’m just sayin’ . . .)  On a side note, we’re looking for someone to help organize and take responsibility for this team as well.  If you’re an organizer and have a passion for making sure every person gets warmly welcomed, then we need you! 

2)      We’re always looking for a few more early-risers to help on our set-up crew. 

3)      If you’re looking for the next step to grow in other ways, I hope you’ll consider getting into a Deeper Group.  We’re having an informational meeting on July 25^th at 5pm at our house (3010 Auburn Creek Ln. 77573).  Come and hear more and see if you might be interested.  If you need to meet on a Sunday morning, try out our Adult Sunday school class (they’re starting a new study in early August).

4)      If you have a passion for youth or children’s ministry, we’re always looking for folks to help us in those areas.

5)      Finally, we are starting a creative worship team this Wednesday, July 21^st and are looking for people who have creative ideas to help our worship experience speak for and to our congregation and community.  The meeting will take place from 6:30-8pm and we will be focusing on September/October worship services.  Feel free to e-mail me if you have questions about whether this area of ministry might be a fit for you: matt@thewatershedchurch.com.
