I want to share a story about one of our Deeper Groups that just recently happened.  I became aware of a need in our community of a woman is away from home and living with a family member as she seeks medical treatment.  We'll call her Florence.

 

Florence has been mostly home-bound during her treatments and has a desire for Christian fellowship since she is also away from her church home.  One of our Deeper Groups has taken up this challenge to give Florence a new church family while she is away from home.  They have begun visiting Florence when they can and inviting her to their group meeting when she feels up to it.  There are more challenges for Florence ahead, but this Deeper Group has already shown her the love of Christ in an exceptional way. 

 

And this type of life-changing story is becoming more and more common among our Deeper Groups.  These groups are changing the lives of participants as they learn and understand the Bible better.  They are helping people get connected to other singles or families in the church.  They are even helping people outside the church experience God's love as the groups are challenged to serve their communities in the name of Christ.

 

If you're not in a Deeper Group, maybe now is the time to think about joining one.

 

I want to personally invite you to a Deeper Group Informational meeting on July 25th from 5-6pm at our house (3010 Auburn Creek Ln, League City, 77573).    

 

I hope you'll come meet other Watershedders, eat some good food,  and hear more about what God is doing through our Deeper Groups.  You're not committing to anything just by coming and you don't have to bring anything either!  You can RSVP by e-mailing matt@thewatershedchurch.com to let us know you're coming, but if you forget, come on anyway
