Hey friends,

What a powerful day of worship on Sunday!  We got to hear stories from a couple of our students who had a very powerful God-experience at UM ARMY the previous week.  They spoke of being freed to a more personal relationship with Christ, a sense of knowing that they were the hands and feet of God, and a more passionate desire to worship.

We also had the chance to pray for our very own Jeanni Eckel who has been undergoing cancer treatments, which have necessitated her being gone from worship and her small group for a few months.  She is seeing her faith and her body strengthened through this treatment and has consistently told me of the encouragement you, the church, have been to her in this difficult time.  Jeanni has taught all of us a lot about keeping your faith in the midst of adversity.  I am glad we have been able to be "the church" for her when she needed us.

In addition to that, there were 151 of you at church on Sunday, which is a new non-Easter high attendance mark for us!  And that is during the summer when attendance typically goes down!

Obviously, stories and numbers can never tell the whole story, but I think they can point us to what God may be doing here.  The stories of grace and transformation remind us that God is still working and that transforming lives is what we're all about.  And our increasing attendance tells me that you are feeling more confident to invite friends and that the surrounding community is starting to get a clear picture of who we are in Christ and where we are headed.

It is always great to see all that God is doing in us and among us here at The Watershed.  And the most exciting thing to me is that I have no idea what God is going to do this week!  It may happen at church, at your home, or at work.  Keep your eyes open, though.  You never know, God may show up on your doorstep next!  I look forward to seeing countless lives changed in the coming weeks, months and years.  I look forward to seeing lives changed this week!  See you at church!
