Hey friends,

It's Father's Day again and on this day, we try to honor the men who have acted as father-figures in our lives.  It may be a father, step-father, grandfather, adoptive father or just a influential man in your life, but I hope you have had someone who showed you or is showing you the love of Christ as a dad.  If you've had that person in your life like I have, I pray that this Sunday you will be able to make sure they know how much you appreciate them.

At The Watershed, we take seriously our role in helping parents raise their children in Christ.  We want to help men become the best father-figures they can be.  That's why we have an all-family Sunday School class where parents and kids learn together, and why we end each class with family time at the end.  That's why we try to keep the number of committee meetings we have to a minimum and why we look for ways to do family events that bless families rather than pull them apart.

In short, we want to bless families, and help mothers and fathers be the people God has called them to be.  We want to help them become the kind of Jesus-followers that can help their children become Jesus followers too.

So have a blessed Father's Day.  Tell those who have fathered you in your life that you love them.  Dads, know that what you do matters.  And come join us on a journey as a church that will help you continue to grow as a man, as a father and as a follower of Jesus.  We're here to help, not make it harder.  See you at All-family Sunday School at 9:30am this Sunday.  Or see you at church, where will have a small gift for each of those special men in your life!
