Hey friends,

God has truly shown us His favor in every way both as individuals and as a congregation.  I believe The Watershed was in God's mind from before time and it excites me to think that He called you and I to partner with Him to help make it happen.

 1)   We just received a $30,000 grant from Moody Memorial United Methodist Church's Permanent Endowment Fund which will help pay for the cost of hiring an architect to make a Master Plan for our future site.  That means, the money you and I donate to the 'land fund' when we do our capital funds campaign will not go towards that expense.  Your donation will go directly towards paying down the debt on the land!  God has truly blessed us with the help from this sister church!

 2)  I told you last week that CCISD had changed their policy regarding churches in schools and that this change in policy was going to cause us to have to move to a new location in August of 2011.  After a single ltter, I am excited to tell you that I got a phone call from the Superintendent of Schools himself telling me that he is going to "forward date" the policy so that all new churches have a new clock as of the effective date of the policy.  That means we have three full years from January of 2010 in order to stay in a CCISD school. 

This simple change will save us more than $200,000 in rent and build-out costs that we would have incurred had we needed to move out next August!  And not only us, but all the new churches currently meeting in schools as well!  It is incredible!

 Anyway, I usually use this space to ooze vision, but today, I just want to use it to ooze praise!  I hope you'll join me in thanking God for all God has done and is doing here at The Watershed and in the whole Bay Area.  We are truly blessed.
