I'm feeling the love!

I still can't believe what a turn-out we had last Sunday for our 2nd annual Kindness Explosion!  We cancelled church services and 114 of you still showed up!  About 10 of those were first-time guests (who, after getting past their initial confusion, all said they would come back next week), but the other 104 of you came prepared to "be the church" in the community.

We sent you out in 6 different projects ranging from home repair to baking and everything in between.  We even had our youth and children help us bless the community through a variety of their very own mission projects!  As your pastor and biggest fan, your generosity and kindness to the community was humbling and exciting at the same time.  You were re-presenting Jesus to a world that is highly skeptical of the "church" as an institution.  You reminded our community that a church is its people!

Thank you to all of our project coordinators:  Travis Robinson, Joan Hatfield, Kelly Cassity, Jenna Maddix, Peta Dudley, Richard and Denise Stahmer, Laura Adlis, Ginger Neely, Paige Newman and Jonathan Davis.  And a special thanks to our event coordinator Celia Ann Saterbak!  None of this could have happened without the work of all of these individuals.  And of course, none of it could have happened without each of you deciding that you wanted to be the hands and feet of Christ in our community last Sunday.

I hope you'll come a little early this week so you can see the pictures and videos of the day!  And we'll post it on Youtube and Facebook as well when we're completed.  God rocks and it is so amazing to see Him rocking the entire Bay Area because of your faithfulness.
