Life Journal Day 4: 

Scripture Psalm 124:2-5 - "If the Lord had not been on our side when men attacked us . . . they would have swallowed us alive, the flood would have engulfed us, the torrent would have swept over us, the raging waters would have swept us away."
 

Observation - The Psalmist reminded me today how, even when bad things are happening to and around me, God is still with us.  So often when something bad happens, I see the bad and wonder where God is.  I never seem to stop and think "Thanks God, for being here.  I would never have survived this problem otherwise."

Application - I need to remember the promise of the Bible that reminds me that there is never a time when God is not with us.  Today, no matter what happens to me, God is with me, keeping me upright even when life tries to knock me over.

Prayer - Praise You, God, that you are always with me.  I'm sorry I forget, but today I remember!  I celebrate your loving and sustaining presence with me today and every day!
