Matt’s Vision Drip

Wow!  What an Easter! Another opportunity to celebrate the resurrection in our lives and in our community.  Jesus is alive and because of that, we're alive too!  Here are some things you need to know about all that has been happening this Lent and Easter.
1)      We blew away our church-wide goal of 35 invites to Easter services.  In fact, I am aware of over 60 invites to our Easter services.  And that doesn’t include those of you who didn’t let me know about the invitations you made!
2)      We had our first-ever Holy Week service on the land.
3)      We had 1100 people at our EasterFest on Saturday morning!  That’s 300 more people than we were able to bless and touch for Christ last year.
4)      We had approximately 240 people a 25% bump from last year’s Easter attendance - which was definitely related to #’s 1 and 2.

I lift all these things up just to tell you how excited I am about the progress we are making this spring.

We just started our Magnificent 7 team – whose job it is to make a guests first seven minutes, a magnificent seven minutes.  We are adding new singles and families to the church and have added several people to our Deeper Groups this Spring – so much so that we have added and filled a 6th Deeper Group.  We are seeing an increase in inviting, involvement, and excitement.

And there are other really important things going on under the radar as well.  We’ve started a Vision Team who is charged with giving us crystal clarity and congregational buy-in for who we are and want to be as a church.  And, as they are doing their work, we’re beginning to start the process for interviewing architects to design our eventual master plan for the church’s land on Hwy 96.

All of that is to say that we’re on the move and we know where we’re going.  And we’re getting there because of you!!  If you are looking for a place to get plugged in so you can help us get there, feel free to e-mail me at matt@thewatershedchurch.com.  We need you!
