January “new beginnings/sanctity of life month”
We are supporting Anchor Point Pregnancy Center this month. We will have a baby
bottle fundraiser in which people collected coins, cash and checks and put them

February “love”
We are supporting Baywind Village, a local short-term and long-term care facility.
Valentine’s Day cards will be made for each of the residents. Volunteers will visit
Baywind for a Valentine’s Day party of Bingo and cookies.
March “St. Pat’s Day-go green”
We are supporting a city wide effort to clean our waterways and parks through
Trash Bash. We will be working at Armand Bayou Nature Park on March 31 st and
collecting trash in assigned areas. To learn more about Trash Bash, please visit www.trashbash.org.
April “Easter”
We are supporting Watershed’s Easter Fest on the morning of April 7th from 9am-
12noon on the Watershed land. A tent will be set up to sell food and drinks with all
proceeds going toward a mission trip scheduled later in the year. Come hungry and
support the mission!
May “Kindness Explosion”
We are supporting our community through an explosion of kindness! A variety of
activities will be available and we’ll reach out to change lives around us! It is the
morning of May 20th and regular church service will be cancelled. Projects will
range from passing out water to collecting food for a nearby pantry to sewing
pillows to repairing a house. There are activities for people of all ages!
June “youth ministries”
We are supporting our junior and senior high youth as they go into the community
to help repair lives through UMARMY and Big House. We will be making care
packages for each youth and adult to take with them. It will consist of snacks,
home baked goodies, daily scripture cards and travel games. Please help donate
these items so our youth will feel our support when they are on these trips.
July “military support”
We are supporting our military through Operation Watershed! We will host a book
collection drive and ship the books to the 72nd Medical Detachment Veterinary
Service in Afghanistan. We will also sponsor service members in this unit by
collecting items for care packages. Please join us in showing our unwavering support
for our military servicemen and women.
August “school supply drive”
We will be supporting League City Elementary by collecting backpacks and school
supplies for grades pre-K through 5th. Lists for each grade will be provided to help
with shopping. We encourage groups to work together to sponsor a grade. Every
child deserves a chance to start the school year off on a positive note. We invite
you to help make this possible for many young students.
September “Change the World”
Join us as we help to change the world! We will be hosting Watershed’s first Yard
Sale on September 29th. Monies raised will go toward different organizations
throughout the world designed to help the lost and needy. Donation items and
volunteers to work the sale are needed. Please contact the church office if you are
interested in supporting this mission.
